Learn new skills at the same time as having fun!
Involvement in health education and promotion activities is a core part of what we do at Vibe.
Our focus is on encouraging young people to have access to information to enable them to make good choices about their health and wellbeing. We also look for opportunities to influence whānau and community health, and design health and wellbeing services for young people.
Providing access to information that helps young people make healthy choices
We run and promote events for young people to become involved with throughout the year. These focus on health and wellbeing such as self-care, language celebration, and health promotions weeks and months.
Some examples of our health promotion activities are:
Attending school expos and events
Attending community health and wellbeing events
Promoting languages
Promoting self-care
Celebrating Youth Week
We offer a range of group-based programmes. These programmes are implemented at different locations within the community.
All our programmes are delivered in an interactive and youth friendly manner. They are a great way to learn new skills at the same time as having fun, meeting new people or learning alongside their peers or classmates.
Some of our programmes are run on a regular basis and others are run in response to requests from schools, community groups and young people.
Some of our programmes include:
Peer Support Programme
Skills for Life
Budgeting programme (For youth service clients only)
Parenting programme (For youth service clients only)
Please contact us if you are interested in finding out more about our programmes. We also advertise upcoming programmes on our Vibe Facebook and Instagram.
