Vai Tuita’alili - Board Chair

Giselle Iradukunda

Heya, my name is Giselle Iradukunda originally from Rwanda.  I joined the Board in 2017 as a Youth Trustee. My time on the Board has been rewarding, I have been offered development opportunities, engaged with a variety of young people and have had a lot of fun along the way.  My hobbies include swimming, walking, YouTube and spending time with my family.

I am currently working as well as studying part-time, doing a Masters of Applied Social Work at Massey University.  Subsequently, it is my involvement with Vibe as young person and a Youth Trustee that has inspired me to study Social Work.  I have a passion for social justice, mental health, young people, diversity and blessed to be part of a Board that values this as well.

Kia kaha – Be strong

Scott Fisher

Kia ora, I whakapapa to the Tainui and Te Arawa waka, was born and bred in Palmerston North, and currently reside in Lower Hutt with my wife and kids.

I have spent the last 20 years working in Information Technology and am currently the General Manager Data and Digital at Te Awakairangi Health Network, the Primary Health Organisation (PHO) for the Hutt Valley.

I respect and admire the work that the Vibe team do every day to seek better outcomes for the rangatahi in our rōhe, and wanted to join the Board to contribute in my own small way to these outcomes.

I le agaga fa'aaloalo oute fa'ailoa atu ai lo'u tagata
My name is Shannan King - born and bred here in Te Awakairangi. My gafa takes me back to Sāmoa and Ireland. I am unsure how exactly where I connect to in Samoa, but trust that one day I’ll know how I connect back to the homeland.

My desire to help people comes from my incredible Nan, who has forever been my example of loving and serving others. My inspiration into the youth work world was back in 2009/2010 when I was a young person accessing the services at Vibe. I returned back in 2018 as a staff member, with roles crossing between NEET and Youth Engagement. Yet again, I have found myself returning, this time as a Trustee - with the hopes of continuing to support the voices of both young people and those who serve them.
