Social Services Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader with a minimum of 5 years' practice experience, who can demostrate leadership experience within a youth or community setting, has excellent people skills, emotional intelligence, good judgement and can be calm and discreet. 

This role is a permanent full time position and the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of staff (social workers and youth workers) who support young people engaged in a range of services within Vibe.   You will work closely with other staff to develop Vibe's social services, and to ensure that all Vibe services are youth friendly, accessible, and responsive to the needs and aspirations of young people.

Youth Worker - Engagement

(2 roles available)

We are seeking two enthusiastic people to join our Engagement Services Team, which provides a range of engagement with young people accessing Vibe's services.  

You will be involved in developing and delivering group programmes, encouraging positive health choices, and support young people through strengths-building and mentoring.

Both positions are full time, with one permanent and one a 12-month fixed term position. 

The ideal applicants will hold a qualification in Youth Worker, Social Work or similar qualification which is desirable but not essential, have a proven ability to connect with and relate to young people from a range of cultures and backgrounds, and experience working in researching, developing, delivering and evaulating Youth Development workshops and programmes.

Specialist Youth Clinician - AOD / CEP

We are seeking an experienced clinician able to work in a dual role providing assessment and treatment for rangatahi presenting with substance and / or mental health. 

In this role you will work collaboratively with young people and Vibe staff, while working closely with the Youth AOD CEP team within MHAIDS, to contribute to good practice and grow Youth AOD CEP capability within the Hutt Valley. 

This role is a full time position, 32 - 40 hours per week (these hours are negotiable).

The ideal applicant will hold a qualification in nursing, social work, psychology, occupational therapy or closely aligned clinical field, be able to impact clinical knowledge to others in one to one, group, or an educational space, and have a focus on delivering high quality care for the patient/client/whānau.
