Sale Alefosio (PSW & PSW Mental Health) has a background in nursing and is currently facilitating a support and education group called Atomic, which is designed for young mental health consumers. Sale is the father of a beautiful daughter and has a strong family focus. Sale brings a unique perspective to his role as Peer Support Worker with his strong connection to his Tokelauan culture.
Veronica (Lonnie) McGrath (Peer Support Worker) is the baby of Vibe. Lonnie enjoys all types of music especially acoustic likes the Goth scene. Lonnie likes to socialise with her friends and describes herself as being totally outrageous and in your face. Lonnie has lots of plans for her life and wants to experience as much out of life as possible.
Gemma Dixon (Peer Support Worker) loves being involved with young people and adores her job a lot. Gemma's a born New Zealander and has lived in the same house in Upper Hutt for her whole life. Gemma loves trying new things out and hanging out with her friends. Gemma is really close to her family and likes to celebrate every occasion they can. Gemma's favourite interests would be shopping first then music and walking.
Winika Paniora (Peer Support Worker) is 21 years of age, hails from a small town at the top of the North Island but now resides in Waiwhetu, Lower Hutt. Winika is bubbly, playful and a big joker. Winika is family orientated and has strong beliefs for her Maori culture within New Zealand. Winika come from a background of Social & Health workers, Maori Weavers and carvers who pride themselves in everything they do, which is what she would like to achieve. Her passions are performing arts, kapahaka, music, poetry and all sports. Working with the youth is a big aspect of life and is something she's been wanting to succeed in for years. "I would like to achieve lots in life, but am most happy to take things one step at a time".
Henio Perez (PSW) generally all smiles and on a good buzz! Henio is a NZ born Tokelauan, and is passionate about his Tokelau heritage. He has close ties with Tokelau Community in the Hutt. Henio likes singing and dancing and is always up for a good time!! LOL HEEYY!!
Jay Henderson (PSW) digs live bands, punk rock, ska, hot rods, double bass, all things 40's and 50's related, tattoos and has a keen interest in human and animal rights alike. Jay lived in Auckland briefly before returning to the Hutt where she grew up, to study Youth Work, and be closer to her family and friends. Jay is big on honesty, loyalty and honour, and tries to encorporate all these into her life on a daily basis. Jay is currently in the process of saving to go overseas, where she would like to visit the country from where her family originates, Lebanon, as well as a whole lot of other places in between!
